  2. Not really. Poetry was originally sung. This is a nice way of reminding people of that. On the other hand, there is something oafish about the Swedish Academy trying to make us think they're hip. Perhaps they're all Holy Fools.

    1. Yes, poetry was lyric, but now lyrics are not novels, stories, or poetry. The differences now are clear except to prize committee. Will they honor The Beachboys next year? How about Kanye West!
