Lewis' non-fiction writing is often so drearily pedantic (with one or two exceptions), not to mention not really all that logical, that his fictional allegories get his messages across quite a bit better.

I far prefer Charles Williams. And then it is on to SCREWTAPE (with its searing ironies) and perhaps some of his slender but wonder-filled volumes of nonfiction.R/Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07791522136032565027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10178279.post-10658052150607354672009-07-08T18:16:36.216-04:002009-07-08T18:16:36.216-04:00The Screwtape Letters is a masterpiece, principall...The Screwtape Letters is a masterpiece, principally because of the insight it provides into how the human psyche works.Frank Wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18410473158808750903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10178279.post-59397972331218505692009-07-08T16:47:27.251-04:002009-07-08T16:47:27.251-04:00Well, yeah ... but I think the "Screwtape Let...Well, yeah ... but I think the "Screwtape Letters" is more fun!Jeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08952101708880633319noreply@blogger.com
