Yes, it does ...

... Does This Make You Angry? (Via InstaPundit.)

Here is the video.

  1. Yep. I found it interesting that the person who posted the video seems to incensed about the failure of the police to protect the boy to the exclusion of being incensed about the people from whom the boy needs protection. (I refer to the poster's [Irish282 I think it is] comment on the video.)

  2. Debra, I don't think I agree with you here. I'm reminded of Updike's strictures for criticism, one of which is to keep in mind what the author set out to do. This video had one specific purpose, and you can't really fault its maker for not doing something else. His comments really refer to that purpose. (And I think his incense about those attacking the boy is nevertheless clear in the video.)

  3. Well, criticizing the police for their failures is certainly valid, and I agree with you that criticism of the people attacking the kid is at least implicit in the video. I don't fault the maker for not doing something else. What struck me as odd was the tone, if you will, of this comment:

"Will EVERYONE please note that I posted this video to protest the failure of the Dutch police to protect an innocent child! The PROTECTION of Lieuwe is my concern in this video."

Why make such a big point about it? Why not be willing to address the larger issue of Islamic extremism in the comments?

This was only my second try at making a slideshow/video.
Islamic Radicals are covered in many videos. Lee is correct. I focused on a story that I found interesting and upsetting. As angry as I was when I made this video, I wanted to focus on the child, not bash Islamic radicals.
I will be updating this video as soon as I can confirm some information.

Sorry, but I don't think "twisting" is required for these people; they just pick and choose what they want.
There are both good and evil thoughts in books of the major religions.

Well well well no surprise to see this here. Two years on and irish282 is still obsessing over little boys on YouTube.
