... is that there's a split: French split over ‘book burner’.

There's this:

Hosni was all but elected until it was revealed that he had told an Egyptian MP he would personally burn any Israeli books found in Egyptian libraries.

And this:

The Egyptian has not helped matters by suggesting that the zeal of David Killion, America’s new Unesco ambassador, for working against his candidacy is explained by his Jewish roots. In fact, say acquaintances, Killion is not Jewish.
