I read Elmore Leonard's great crime thriller "52 Pick-Up" and I saw John Frankenheimer's fine film based on the novel.
Roy Scheider was outstanding as the lead and John Glover, Clarence Williams and other supporting actors portrayed the criminals just right - mean, not very bright and funny in a creepy way.
I loved the book and the movie and I have a copy of each in my library
