Florida has a Republican governor and a Republican legislature and these two forces have been re-writing election laws this year, "purging' the rolls, cutting early voting days, and making voter registration and proof of citizenship more complicated. We have been getting lectures how voting is a privilege, not a right, when it is clearly (I believe) both. Of course, I'm not asking for a return to yesterday. It wasn't better then; it was, as you say, 'merely different.'
