 A psychiatrist friend of mine once pointed out that thing to keep in my when it comes to boredom is that it is not boring. You  are bored.

    I heard a story once about William F. Buckley when he hosted Firing Line on the subject of boring guests. He said "Ninety-nine out of a hundred guests are not boring. The one who is, is interesting precisely because he is boring."
