Minority report …

  1. I confess that if forced to recite Heaney, I would fall back on near doggerel--"Maneouvrings to find out name and school/Subtle discrimination by addresses" etc. But Larkin? I recall some of "Aubade", bits of the "Toad" poems and not much more.

    Nor, frankly, do I see much difference in distribution of poetic talent across the political range.
