Insofar as the Pontiff is telling us that we have an obligation as stewards of the environment, he isn't saying anything I didn't l;earn from Catholic social teaching throughout my Catholic education. Insofar as he is just parroting European bien-pensant thinking, he's entitled to think what he wants — and so am I. And I think I'm better informed than he is.
