My training is in philosophy. I do not think reason is an adequate judge of faith, which has more in common with poetry and imagination, both of which, I think, apprehend reality better than reason can.
Why would you think that? You cannot, using reason, prove that reason is the principal means of arriving at truth, since to do so you would have to beg the question, which would be a violation of the rules of reasoning.
I somewhat agree. I think that faith is good, however I think that reason is more all-encompassing than faith is.
