It is a commonplace of all religious thought, even the most primitive, that the man seeking visions and insight must go apart from his fellows and love for a time in the wilderness.
The quote, as I have it, appears quite frequently. A someone who has spent a lot of time in the wilderness, “love” struck me as perfectly reasonable. I do find it also quoted as “live” though, which of course makes sense. Will try to track it down.
