…our former DNI, who also served as undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence and the head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, was clearly either dead wrong or flat-out lying. (Note that he dodged a perjury charge for lying to Congress about NSA data collection practices in 2013).
It should be noted that nearly all of the intelligence officials who signed the letter were appointed by Democratic administrations. So, it seems to me, that their statements were not in fact professional intelligence estimates. Rather, the statements were opinions based on their politics and loyalty to the Democratic Party, as well as their opposition to Trump and Republications.
