Funny you'd bring this up. Yesterday I was imagining a book with some kind of liquid crystal page, thin as paper, that would show the text when a chip was inserted into the spine.
There is no replacement for books and newspapers. It's the feel of them. I don't like to read poetry online, though I do sometimes. My wife won't read my work at all unless I print it out.
And strangely, I have a poem on this very subject with a different solution, a poem no one has ever especially liked save me.
It's called "Fahrenheit 451 Revisited" but wouldn't fit in this column.
