The true voice in the list is Kerouac. The others are like listing Elvis, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, or even presidents, or Nobel winners.
And I'm not sure people quite understand how much a voice Kerouac has had. He possibly changed our and world culture more than any other individual, excepting maybe Einstein, last century.
I'm not sure people understand where the voices come from, or the impact they have. Our collective psyche changes and changes back with the song.
It's possible that such a voice will use the novel as the genre to work with, likely seeing how huge it is. But it can come from anywhere, and Kerouac was first a great poet at heart, and then a genre user.
Frank, I am really hoping that you get to meet John Sampas over a brew or two. He has important stories to tell that have not been told.

Yours,

I'd sure pick Kerouac over any of the others. And not just because he influenced me.
