I agree.. a quite prosaic list overall. I enjoy reading Paste magazine for their coverage on the dwindling amount of decent popular music, but their literature coverage seems to be mostly an afterthought.
Ditto on the blandstanding; but, an interesting notion only insofar as it provides the foundation for us to list our personal bests in a quartet of categories (poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and cyber-publication):
1. The Selected Gwendolyn MacEwen (Meaghan Strimas, Ed.) 2. The Last Novel (David Markson) 3. The Letters of Ted Hughes (Christopher Reid, Ed.) 4. Mortal Ghost (L. Lee Lowe)
