This is the nearest I have ever come to seeing something even remotely like American Idol. This is a British version, which also features Simon Cowell, whom I had never seen before, either. It's quite a story.
It is indeed. Someone sent me the link to the YouTube video two-three days ago. My jaw dropped upon listening to it. Twice. This is the sort of thing that only happens in movies, because it's what you WANT to happen, and when it really does, there is no better feeling (in the observer). I hope this lady is able to turn this into a nice, pleasant, sustainable career. It is the sort of career she would want, and she deserves it. The world has more than enough singers, but few or none like this.
