Uh-oh …

… Bleak outlook for US newspapers - FT.com.


The only reason this is happening is that the people in charge simply are not familiar with the online world to know how to adapt to it. A few years ago, The Inquirer was hell-bent on pursuing nostalgia for its glory days in the '70s and '80s. Sorry, guys. Spend one month reading no newspapers. Get your information entirely online. Oh, wait. It may take them that long to find out how to explore the web in a way that doesn't isn't just an online version of what they've always read. Heaven forfend they discover anything that challenges their calcified  view of things.
