Hmm …

Actually, the mechanistic metaphor underlying materialism has problems. To begin with, machines are artifacts. So to posit a mechanism sans mechanic is a problem. Best, I think, to take the world on its on terms, which would have to do with those mysterious items of beings called organisms and their peculiar carbon-based chemistry. As for the multiverse, purely hypothetical, lacking any evidentiary basis.
