What we see here is the sexism of the anti-sexists; the racism of the anti-racists. In this “Through the Looking Glass” world, diversity means ideological homogeneity. “The whitesplaining of history is over,” declared another heated article by Satia last week. Hideous Newspeak terms such as “whitesplaining” and “mansplaining” are symptoms of the degeneration of the humanities in the modern university. Never mind the facts and reason, so the argument runs, all we need to know — if we don’t like what we hear — are the sex and race of the author.

My Name is JANE.I will love to share my testimony to all the people in the forum cos i never thought i will have my girlfriend back and she means so much to me..The girl i want to get marry to left me 4 weeks to our wedding for another man..,When i called her she never picked my calls,She deleted me on her facebook and she changed her facebook status from married to Single...when i went to her to her place of work she told her boss she never want to see me..I lost my job as a result of this cos i cant get myself anymore,my life was upside down and everything did not go smooth with my life...I tried all i could do to have her back to all did not work out until i met a Man when i Travel to Africa to execute some business have been developing some years back..I told him my problem and all have passed through in getting her back and how i lost my job...he told me he gonna help me...i don't believe that in the first place.but he swore he will help me out and he told me the reason why my girlfriend left me and also told me some hidden secrets.i was amazed when i heard that from him..he said he will cast a spell for me and i will see the results in the next couple of days..then i travel back to US the following day and i called him when i got home and he said he's busy casting those spells and he has bought all the materials needed for the spells,he said am gonna see positive results in the next 2 days that is Thursday...My girlfriend called me at exactly 12:35pm on Thursday and apologies for all she had done ..she said,she never knew what she's doing and her sudden behavior was not intentional and she promised not to do that again.it was like am dreaming when i heard that from her and when we ended the call,i called the man and told him my wife called and he said i haven't seen anything yet... he said i will also get my job back in 3 days time..and when its Sunday,they called me at my place of work that i should resume working on Monday and they gonna compensate me for the time limit have spent at home without working..My life is back into shape,i have my girlfriend back and we are happily married now with kids and i have my job back too.This man is really powerful..if we have up to 20 people like him in the world,the world would have been a better place..he has also helped many of my friends to solve many problems and they are all happy now..Am posting this to the forum for anybody that is interested in meeting the man for help.you can mail him to spiritualherbalisthealing@gmail.com I cant give out his number cos he told me he don't want to be disturbed by many people across the world..he said his email is okay and he' will replied to any emails asap..hope he helped u out too..good luck: spiritualherbalisthealing@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteMaybe for 2019, Niall Ferguson could consult, "Priya Satia, a Stanford history professor and the head of the department’s diversity committee." Ferguson failed in getting the diversity that he says that he sought.
How about the headline? I don’t want anybody talking about something being “too white.” I offer no apology for my race and, like captain, “I’d strike the sun if it insulted me.” I am also not about to make any apology for being male.
ReplyDeleteI read that as being a failure for the make-up of the group, "the faces of 30 white men," versus, to say, that any individual was somehow "too white".
ReplyDeleteThe argument would be somehow different if Ferguson had come out and said, "Hey, who cares! I like it when there are 30 white faces. Certain ideas come to the fore that would not come out otherwise." But he who wrote the BG Opinion article wanted more diversity himself.
What happens when 30 people are all white men? The ideas are not representative of other groups, including the Santford History department. For the purposes of the forum, indeed, it was "too white and too male."
Well, I can see having a convocation on French medieval history and only inviting French people. I think the moment you start thinking about the skin color, ethnicity or whatnot you’re already off topic. I have no interest in the atomization of society. I think we all be proud of our race, which, the last time I checked, was the human race.
ReplyDeleteMuch of history is about race. A great benefit of Black History Month, is that young children of color get to learn of their heritage and contributions to culture & society. More care & research goes into it. We get to study under the "Black History" umbrella.
ReplyDeleteIf we look at a Native American, for instance, we find that there was not a much worse president than Andrew Jackson, and we are left wondering why Abraham Lincoln had to be so racistly cruel himself.
It's an important perspective, and one that we need.There is so much hateful behavior leveled against people who are not white.
I think there’s also plenty directed at people who are white. Check out the news coming out of South Africa. No race has a monopoly on virtue or vice. I’m not about to romanticize mine or anybody else’s. Like Popeye, I am what I am. Take it or leave it. I make no special pleading for myself, and would prefer not hearing any from anybody else about anybody else. Play the cards you were dealt as best you can.

ReplyDeleteSo far as I know I have never played my hand in a way that could be construed as deadly. But, to return to the topic as expressed in the title, I do not happen to think that white men are necessarily bad.
ReplyDeleteAfter being in relationship with Wilson for seven years,he broke up with me, I did everything possible to bring him back but all was in vain, I wanted him back so much because of the love I have for him, I begged him with everything, I made promises but he refused.
