It could be his hair, but the objection to his views does seem rather over the top in many cases. But I haven’t read any of his books, and this piece doesn’t inspire me to put them on my reading list. He might want to consider e. e. cummings’s “pity this busy monster, manunkind” — “progress is a comfortable disease.”
