You can't lock down the imagination …

Several decades ago a friend and I stood outside her house. It was at the time, I believe, still someone's residence and was only open to the public one day a week — Tuesday, I think; we were there on the weekend.

I have been inside Emerson's house, and have visited Walden Pond, and Melville's farm.
