Oh, horrors …

German virologist: Covid-19 is less deadly than feared - The Post.

  1. Here in Massachusetts, we are ahead of the US curve in getting the virus. We are a relatively small state, but 3rd in most deaths, behind only New Jersey & New York. Also, to note, we have more covid-19 dead than all of Canada.

We know that, similar to any virus, we catch it from other people. In the case of this very deadly virus (again, just ask us in Mass), you personally decrease your chances of catching it, by staying away from others as best as you can, washing any covid caca off, and since it is respiratory to a high degree, wearing an N95 mask. Beginning, yes beginning, tomorrow in Massachusetts, if you are walking the streets or in a public place, you will be required to be wearing a mask. Not only are we dead to a large degree, we are deadly.

You don't want to be in public places in Massachusetts tomorrow. Consider us all contaminated. Consider yourself dead if you catch it. And if you don't want to do that, consider that if you come into contact with someone from Mass, you are a carrier, who will then be developing a deadly downline.

Back to the article. The reason it makes no sense, is that these unqualified guys are acting like Mayan priests, deciding that it is okay to cut out people's hearts for the better good of society. Who are they to make this decision? Nobodies. Unqualified to act like Mayan priests, so nobodies.

Look at the count. The USA is over 71,000 dead now, and the curve is not surely heading down yet. If it was going to act like a bell curve, then the number of dead would be double the number at the peak. If it is not heading down, then we can add at least 60,000 to any number, such that today, assuming the slope down as dramatic as the slope up, would be about 130,000 total -- optimistically. Make up your own model.

The problem isn't just that we have no reason to believe that we will achieve that 130,000. Add to this that we still do not even know how long a person who has lived through the virus is immune for. Herd immunity to covid-19 may become like annual west coast wildfires. Sir John Bell says that if the vaccine works, we'll probably need re-vaccinations - for life.

Have you had your Covid-19 vaccine shot yet this season?

  2. I didn't even get a flu shot. I never do. I've never had the flu, and the vaccine is often out of date by the time it hits the market. It'll probably be the same with a COVID-19 vaccine, whenever they come up with one.
