A legendary watering hole …

… George Hunka | Americana, mostly. (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

I started going there before I left college. Later I hung there with friends who were denizens of the place. I often saw a guy named Charlie Williams stop in. He's better known these days as Pulitzer winner C.K. Williams. One its owner, Jay McConnell, was a friend of mine and often visited the house in Germantown where my family and I lived in the '70s and 80s. Someday maybe I'll write a little more about it.
