Color coded books. A couple of years ago, I had a bright young assistant named Jonathan Saruk, who came up with the idea of color-coding the books that come into my office - a particular color for whatever month the book was officially published. Great idea - especially for when books have to be taken off the shelves to make room for new ones.
A new magazine launched in the UK a year or so ago, it was much derided for its main feature in the launch issue being just this idea. I think it was one of those "women's/lifestyle" mags. Folded at issue 2 I recall.
