    I'm tellin' ya, there's something about heavy drinkers from the South and vampire literature! I don't want to name the living writer who's made her fortune out of vampires, but if you know anything about drinkers, it's hard to read her books without seeing all the symbolic qualities of that tortuous thirst. And now it turns out Faulkner was onto the same thing. Well, well.
