... What was your first detective novel?

I think mine was The Moonstone. Could that be right?

    I think mine must have been "Freddy the Detective," by Walter R. Brooks, round about the 4th grade. Immediately upon finishing that I buzz-sawed through the two dozen other Freddy the Pig books.
