Fascinating. Dr. Hendrix's opinion that authors should not give away things for free on the internet because they are hurting their fellow writers' bargaining power might at least be worth discussing if it were true that all "publishable" material will get into print via the old-fashioned method of a publisher taking it on and paying for it. But that's a very, very debatable premise in itself.
