Mr. Keen says: "Moreover, [blogging] is decimating … our cultural gatekeepers, as professional critics, journalists, editors, musicians, moviemakers, and other purveyors of expert information are being replaced … by amateur bloggers ..." The LA Times review rightly notes there are some problems depending on such gatekeepers. As someone who works every day in a controversial industry (nuclear power) I can tell you that the information these gatekeepers provide typcially offers little insight into the daily reality of my business. (This is regardless of whether the presentation is pro- or con-). I'm sure the same can be said for many other complex issues.
