Freelancer woes ...

... Writing and Taxes par-tay.

Many years ago, a good chunk of my own income came from freelancing. I do not look back upon those days with great fondness. But what I learned then served me well when I was in a position to hire freelancers. I understood their position far better than I would have otherwise.

    The thing with taxes and freelancing is there’s so much room for error that you can’t afford to be careless, but if you’re too paranoid … ugly babies.

    So far the best tax tip I can offer is to have a nice bowl of pistachios on hand and the promise of wine at the finish line.
