Clichés ...

... Notes on Catch. (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

I think the rapid spread of catchphrases is somehow related to what I like to call bumper-sticker thinking ("If you can dream it, you can do it" — well, no, you can't).
Oh, and I associate "Party on ..." with Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, which came out in 1989, three years before Wayne's World.
