    K. Haven't had the op to read this yet; but, well, I wonder, occasionally, about taking naps when I'm not writing since I write (or edit) every day, right?

No, seriously, I wonder if I'm the only person on the planet who takes a nap and whether it's a good idea or not. I try to do it in REM cycles (45 minutes). This is prolly a stupid question; but, I am curious if anybody else takes naps because someone recently told me that I ought NOT do so because it affects my sleeping at night (but, it doesn't, not IMO); and, it means I'm lazy, they seemed to be suggesting . . .

    Oh, never mind :), time for a nap . . . Zed-z-z-z . . .

  2. I usually take a nap in late afternoon. It does not affect my sleeping at night. (I get up between 5:30 and 6 a.m.) Somerset Maugham took naps. I think they're good for you. What other species doesn't rest sometime during the day?

That's exactly the reason why I take a nap, Frank; I usually wake up around 4:44 and by noon, zonk . . . Maybe it's aging; but, I used to be able to sleep four hours; but, now, well, I sleep about five at night plus a nap. It used to drive my ex bonkers since he was a night owl and I was a morning gloriator. Best time of the day, IMO.

BTW, SciFi writers do wonderful things when they're not Sigh-Fi-ing, seems. Enjoyed the entry muchly. I used to play with my little LuDawg (RIP) and the red laser on my level. She loved it; but, she knew it wasn't a real "toy" so, I think she was just indulging me :).

And, man-oh-manna, the ongoing duck trials, tribulations, and tarnations. Very entarresting.
