Wildflowers ...

From top: Goldenrod, wood sorrel, ajuga, and jewel-weed (wild impatiens, also known as touch-me-nots).

Ah, Frank! You've captured an image of one of my favorite wildflowers: jewelweed. Its luminous yellow-orange flowers are beautifully set against slightly gray-green foliage, a distinct color combination I've never seen duplicated in 54 years of rambling through meadows, forests, deserts and tundra. And, in a pinch, its sap is an effective balm for poison ivy rash.
