Speaking of Jaroslav Seifert

Here is the original Czech alongside its English translation (a.k.a. an authorised poetic rendition) of A Wreath of Sonnets by Jaroslav Seifert, a project to which I contributed my 0.324997 CZK (at today's exchange rates based upon the worth of the Canadian dollar when the markets closed). It's a lovely page, FWIW; as well, I love the rigours of the form; and, if you are not familar with same, it exists within a wholly holy tradition and is not only difficult to do in one language; but, also, damned near impossible to render poetically just (when it comes to translating it to another).
