Here is my new definition for the word "surprise": My discovery that Terry Eagleton, the postmodern Marxist critic, seems to have come out in favor of God. Wow! And, the postructuralist-deconstructionist Stanley Fish seems to be pleased with Eagleton's position. Wow, again! Perhaps I need to pay closer attention to Eagleton's and Fish's past writings.
