I haven't read Wright's book, but to my way of thinking it isn't God that evolves, but man's apprehension and understanding of God. And by God I mean the transcategorial reality that Meister Eckhart calls Gottheit or deitas; I think both Wright and Coyne understand the term quite differently and, I would say, incorrectly.
