Neither side of the Atlantic has produced anything exciting in a very long time. That's cause both sides of the Atlantic are more interested in keeping what little money and prestige there is to be had in the hands of a very tiny cadre of academicians and publishers.
The difference between the two? Who cares? They're certainly not producing anything I'm interested in buying. That's sad, but all too true.
