I haven't read all of these I agree regarding those that I have. "Young Goodman Brown" is terrific. So is "Something Wicked This Way Comes" - one of Bradbury's best. And yes, the George Sanders version of Village of the Damned is far and away the best. One not mentioned that I would recommend is Algernon Blackwood's "The Willows."
Oh yes, "Something Wicked This Way Comes" is fantastic. I'd have to say "The Lottery" is probably my favorite though, since I think it was the first truly creepy story I can ever recall reading.
