Perhaps it was ironic that I was sitting in an American History class as a university freshman when the news of the assassination hit my western Pennsylvania campus.
There are few universally memorable moments for Americans. My generation can count only two: the assassination of Kennedy, and the 9/11 attacks. I fervantly hope that my generation will have no more such memorable moments; however, I am gravely concerned (with no pun intended) that more are on the horizon.
