Remembering ...

... Jung at 50 - today, pt 1 - Philosophy and Life. (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

Jung figured in the only precognitive dream I have ever had. About a year before his death, I had a dream in which I was reading the Evening Bulletin and what I was reading was an obit of Jung. Then, about a year later, I opened the Bulletin one afternoon and there was the obit. It seemed just like the one I had seen in my dream.

  1. Jung has been important to my thinking for decades. I first read his work in high school, and read the Collected Works while in college. He was prophetic in ways people still don't seem to realize. His book on "Flying Saucers" prefigures what Mark writes about in his piece regarding the displacement of the spiritual impulse unto the outer world.

I've had dreams of Jung, too, as a wisdom elder teaching me something in my dreams.
