And why not ...

... Not Covering Up: Embracing Romance Novels on AbeBooks.


I wouldn't swear to this, but I believe I wrote the first piece about a romance novel for The Inquirer. It was about a verity entertaining and funny novel by Amanda Quick (Jayne Ann Krentz, who proved to be a wonderful interview subject).  It was easy to see why the books were popular. They were fast-paced, funny, and surprisingly accurate historically.

  1. A contemporary example would be Stieg Larsson. He is not "literary" but his books are sharp and deeply engaging. Also, for technology enthusiasts, they are a pleasure.
