Although I've been an Ian Fleming aficionado since I was a teenager in the 1960s (forget the Bond films and check out the darker, more complex Fleming novels), I must state, regrettably, that I was not the buyer of the $43, 453 "Casino Royale" first edition.
I might be able to afford the 10 Shillings and six Pence that the novel originally cost in 1953.
