OK, I was wrong ...

Back in October I opined that, despite pretty warm temperatures, the weather in these parts would eventually get cold and snowy. But there has been only one slight snowfall, and temperatures this week have been downright springlike. Last month was as mild a January as I can remember (there were some pretty mild winters in the early '50s, if memory serves, but Januarys are usually pretty cold here). Of course, a cold snap could happen, but right now spring bulbs are sprouting in my garden.

  1. Don't worry Frank, most of eastern and central Europe is so cold people are dying in the streets (at least in the Ukraine and Poland). And here in England we at last have a proper cold snap, with worse promised. It's surely not too late for Philly...
