When my mother died in 2000 I realized that when you lose your mother, no matter how old you are, no matter how old she was, you feel yourself to be an orphan. It is a terrible loss. I will be at church this evening and I will burn a candle for Mrs. Teachout. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her.
