I find that I made it about 105 pages into "The Science of Knowledge" about 35 years ago. I believe that I recall that Fichte said one was either a dogmatist--taking the world as existing independently of the self--or a dialectician--taking the world as created by the self.
My impression after all these years is that Fichte made Hegel and Kant seem perspicuous.
