What's it about?

Book reviewers who are trained to avoid all but the briefest sketch of plot summary know that talking about the storyline is a poor way to register enthusiasm about a book.
This makes me glad I'm not a trained book reviewer (whatever the hell that is). I think that's the fun of reviewing — telling the reader what the book is about without turning your review into a book report. You tell just enough to whet the reader's appetite.
