Frank is tired …

… he has been out and about all day and his aged and damaged knees are aching. He has much work to do, and so will be plopping into bed soon to read what he has contracted to review. He grows ever older on Sunday and is, uncharacteristically, somewhat melancholic. So give him a break over less posting than usual.

  1. If I managed to limit the aging process to Sundays, I'd feel exuberant rather than melancholy. But if you mean you have a birthday coming up, congratulations in advance.

  3. Happy birthday for Sunday. If someone ever writes the rules of blogging, the first one would surely have to be that it should never be a duty and the second that you should never need to apologise if you don't feel like posting. Hope the melancholy evaporates v soon, plus the aching knees (or at least the ache - possibly the knees' disappearance could cause the odd difficulty)

  4. Thanks, zmkc. The dutifulness, I guess, is a journalistic habit. But you are right. One shouldn't take the fun out of it. Happily, a good night's sleep has buoyed me up.

  6. I thought "grows ever older on Sunday" was a comment on that day of the week, which I would gladly dispose of: the happiness of Friday night over, and Monday morning looming.

You don't need knees for what you do on this blog. That's the blessing of writing!
