Interesting...Bob Dylan's kid, Jakob, a successful musician in his own right with his band the Wallflowers, was asked about his father's ego and how it might have ruined his childhood...Jakob said something like I'm not on a corner on drugs or anything like that, so Bob must have done alright.
As a father of girls and a boy I wonder how much my example (!) will affect them. When I told my son I was trans he said "Well you will always be my dad, and the one thing you always taught me was to understand others." Cool kid.
Well, creativity with genetics does not always portend well. There is a well-documented study of children's authors who paradoxically made terrible parents.
