The comeback trail …


… Rediscovering John O'Hara - latimes.com. (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

It's not mentioned, but O'Hara's late collection of novellas, Sermons and Soda Water, is especially worth revisiting. I wrote about it in a piece for O'Hara's centenary: John O’Hara: Depth, insight win out.

    Excellent review, Frank. Thanks. I found that the collection is available as part of an even larger collection of his novellas from Library of America or some similar publisher.
