The problem with this piece is that the author needs to get his terms straight. Creationists are not "AKA Intelligent Design advocates." I am a theist, which is to say I believe in a Creator. I am not a creationist. I do not think the Earth was created about 5,000 years ago in six days. I am also not a supporter of Intelligent Design theory (principally because the notion of God it seems to entertain strikes me as jejune). I do think there is much to be said for Aquinas's argument from design, but that's another matter altogether. As Thomas Nagel has pointed out, though, the ID people (not to be confused with creationists) have raised some interesting questions, even if their exact answer doesn't altogether satisfy.
