Actually, Frank, I've heard her speak, and I've blogged the talks. She is critical of all religions, and an outspoken atheist. Paul Berman called her “the best-known feminist intellectual ever to come out of Africa."
In Palo Alto, she outraged the atheist-feminist moderator by saying that she hoped the Islamists would convert to Christianity. Why? she was asked. What difference would that make? "The superficial answer is, if every Muslim became Christian, I would live without bodyguards,” she replied, smiling.

Naturally, this whole incident is outrageous. There is something in her talks to upset almost everyone. That's why it's important that she speak. The woman has a fatwa on her head, for pity's sake.
